Business Meeting
Monday, November 17, 2014 -- 9:30 - 11:00 am

I.     Welcome and Introductions -- C. Fuentes-Rohwer
    Roger Fierst, Cathy Fuentes-Rohwer, Dan Maki, Judy Maki, Craig McDonald, Sofia McDowell, Jenny Robinson, Bob Shanks, Linda Shanks, Janet Stake, Jennifer Steinbachs

III.   Minutes for November 10 approved with correction: 29 Democrats (not 21)
         
IV.   Treasurer's Report and Membership—J. Maki presented budget proposal from budget committee. Budget approved.
    J. Robinson: We should write a letter stating what we’ve done and what we want to do in the coming year; we need membership and participation to accomplish that.
    
V.    Other Reports
A.  State ICPE Board of Directors
 R. Fierst: January 8 will be the ICPE meeting in Indy with local affiliates at 11 a.m.; the state ICPE board meeting will follow at 2 p.m. Cathy and J. Stake plan to go.

    B.  Communications and Web Site
        Tentative meeting schedule for winter/spring of 2015: January 12 and 26, February 9 and 23, March 9 and 23, April 6 and 20, May 4 and 18. J. Robinson will e-mail church to ask if those days will work.
        R. Fierst: We need a clear message on behalf of public schools. Proposes committee to craft it. Committee formed: C. Fuentes-Rohwer, C. McDonald, S. McDowell, J. Steinbachs.
                
    C.  Programs
1. L. Shanks: the League of Women Voters will host legislative updates the first Saturday of the month, except in January it will be the second Saturday. The LWV has invited Tim Thrasher and Dr. DeMuth to attend a meeting to have a conversation about the referendum.
