Dr. Michele Moore
Dr. Michele Moore has a wide variety of experiences including over 23 years working with school districts. She has been a superintendent of Indiana school districts for over five years (MSD Martinsville and Shelby Eastern) and served for two years as executive director and CFO at Central Indiana Educational Service Center. She has prepared budgets, conducted superintendent and board training, and consulted in the area of school finance. A licensed CPA since 1995, she has worked as a field examiner with the Indiana State Board of Accounts and in private practice consulting with nonprofits and individuals. She has a doctorate in educational leadership and curriculum from Indiana University and a BS in finance from the Kelley School of Business. Dr. Moore’s expertise is in financial management for schools, understanding and working in declining enrollment, and updating curriculum and student programs for the demands of the 21st century. |
Moderator
Keri Miksza has two children who attend school in the Monroe County Community School Corporation. She was drawn into education advocacy back in 2014 when the ISTEP was clocking in at over 12 hours for an 8-year-old. She has been involved with the Indiana Coalition for Public Education, both in Monroe County and at the state level, since 2014. She also serves as secretary of the Rogers-Binford PTO and was formerly a Girl Scout troop leader to a dozen powerful girls.
