Joshua Paul, school board candidate for District 1, introduced himself: His background is in mental health. His parents and five sisters are all in education. They have been part of the community for a long time. He wants to see kids’ behavioral health needs met, in the least restrictive way possible, as well as their academic needs. His wife is a social worker.
At Meadows, they recently reorganized patient services and their classroom(s) for children eight to seventeen. He found the process exciting and believes there is space in MCCSC for innovative programs that reflect what research shows about children’s health.
The conversation was lively and J. Paul left at 10:15 for another meeting.
